blueberry picking is for kids of all ages

Picking fruit at orchards is probably one of my favorite newly-discovered activities. The first time my partner (Ben), and I went apple picking we hopped and skipped through the fields, making up songs about apples...as one does.

Last week, I joined Ben and his siblings for some blueberry picking at Bumbleberry Acres in South Haven, MI, and it was no different.

On our way to pick fresh blueberries we were welcomed by the infamous Larry the Log (you can see him in the last photo), and also got to meet some adorable farm animals who certainly didn't mind the company and pets - as long as you gave them some tasty grass.

Unfortunately no hopping, skipping or singing was captured on photo/video, but I think I preserved the essence of this outing pretty well.
